Personally, I don't think people "choose" to have "shitty connections". Many people can't afford the $40 a month for a faster connection. People play GW because there is no monthly fee to play it, thus making it playable on a 28.8k or 56k modem. How can someone be considered "dishonorable" because they loaded in slowly or got an err7 while loading?
I play on cable, and experience lag very seldom.
However, on topic... We had one of our guild members in RA the other night when we were trying to get a GvG going. He was on a team that had won 4 in a row, but we asked him to leave anyways, as he said it would be a while until they lost. He leaves the match to go participate in a guild event, but has to wait out the timer because he got dishonorable... How is that fair? Why should our guild be penalized by having to wait because our member chose to play with the guild in a GvG over continuing to play in RA?

The dude editted his post, making me seem like a "retard".
Regardless if you error 7, your power goes out, I don't care. (and for your info ctb I probably know a lot more about the things you mentioned then you do, and to base my knowledge on those things on a single sentence I stated makes you look like a damn fool)
You have to leave a game TWICE to get dishonorable (unless they recently updated it). That means, he had to leave a game, then get lagged out.
But from what you previously stated, you were reported when you lagged out. Well don't ask us why it's dishonorable, those people reported you most likely out of frustration, and I'm sure most would probably do the same thing. Those games get VERY frustrating, even with dishonorable, people still rage quit, go afk, or whatever to ruin the fun for others, and it gets old FAST, so people rage report people that lag out.
It's 5 minutes of your time, I'm sure that's going to really make a big difference -.-
(unless the Mayans are correct and we all die in 5 years, but still if I knew they were 100% correct I wouldn't be playing Guild Wars)

Actually, the more I read it, the more I think the OP was a griefer.
Anyway, even though I slow load sometimes, I love dishonorable. Because when I do load 10 seconds into the match half my team hasn't quit already. It did what it was meant to do, eliminate quiters.

Well if the person appears to be into, or involved in the game when it says he was disconnected or left the game it is normally someone who was either forced to quit or pushed off. If the person cusses or says something rude/insulting and then quits it is usually someone who rage quits. If they say they're lagging and your team happens to be winning at that point, it's safe to say it was forced

If the guy's name is in grey and he appears 30 seconds into the fight, then its a slow load.

if i lag for two seconds they think im leeching and i lose more xp than i even gained in the stupid arena like i make 200 xp and i lose 500 xp then after i lose xp i pull the team together and make us win by heavy nuking the derv and using backfire.

Ok
I vote that this thread be discharged and the maker be thrown into a pit of fire on principal of creating this idea. Then I vote that we get warcrap some advanced grammar lessons so I can understand what he's saying

Don't blame me, blame ANet for not knowing how to do it right. I'm just pointing it out.
But yeah, ignoring me is certainly a far more mature way to solve this problem.

Don't remove dishonorable status.
I can finally enjoy RA and AB.

And incorrectly. Loviatar, the group didn't report him for leaving. Dishonorable is automated and he got it immidately for leaving.
He should have quit after the end of the match he was in, but before the next one started (he wouldn't have gotten dishonor, sure he'd have to wait ~3 miniutes to finish the match he was in, but its better then waiting the 10 for dishonor to end).

Your welcome. It is kinda confusing, mostly because /report and dishonor were introduced in the same weekend.
